Elke Murdock

Dr. Elke Murdock is a senior research scientist at the University of Luxembourg in the Institute for Lifespan Development, Family and Culture. Her main research interests are in the fields of (cross-) cultural, lifespan developmental and family psychology, and she is a consortium member of the key research area Migration and Inclusive Societies (MIS) of the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences. Her research focus is on living with diversity – within individuals (biculturalism – the identity construal processes) and attitudes towards plurally composed societies, which encompasses the study of value transmission processes within families and the development of critical consciousness. Past research concerned the question how to teach (cross-) cultural psychology to psychology students.
